Most people have probably gotten the email by now, but for those of you who haven't, there's now an official Dartmouth discussion board on the Class of 2010 website.

Dartmouth Class of 2010

Hey! Hmm, I think I'm the first RD to post here... I just got my decision today and I'm shocked and amazed. Anyways, my name is Leanne and I live in Hong Kong, halfway across the world which is hot and humid usually, with a very mild winter and a popluation of 7 million. Let's just say Dartmouth will end up being a complete 180 for me =)

There's so many things I want to try out in D, but probably I'll skate (I love iceskating but can just... skate, nothing fancy. Hope to learn more), swim, and learn to dive, and write for one of the publications =) I LOVE languages, and want to learn Japanese and Spanish, interested in Cultural Anthropology/Sociology/Psychology.. Hope I'll be more decided on that front later =P Also aspire to take a random Art course.

For fun, I <3 Anime, gaming (RPGs in particular), ROCK MUSIC (and concerts!), curling up with a good book, and dancing =)

Really interested in hearing from other Dartmouth 2010s, just MSN me (arieru_kalmia@hotmail.com) or comment... Seeya ~

hi, I'm ryan.

I'm a junior in high school, but I'm graduating a year early.
Anyways, I applied to Dartmouth reg decision, and I recently got a letter from admissions telling me I had a strong application, and that "there wasn't a doubt in their mind that I would be offered admission when decisions are mailed out in April". Is this "unofficial" acceptance common practice? Is it proof-positive I wiil be accepted officially? Has anyone had experience with this or heard about this occuring?

Hi my name is Sara and I'm from Colorado. I got in Early Decision also. I really am not sure what to write but I figured I wanted to get to know people so... I like skiing and snowboarding though I'm not great at snowboarding. I've been doing it since I was about 9 or 10 but I just never really got that good. I like swimming and tennis. I like the winter and snow though I've never been through a New Hampshire winter so I'm a little nervous about that. Anyway I'm really excited about going to Dartmouth next year.

[music |Kashmir- Led Zeppelin]

hey I'm vanessa from Montana... and I also got in ED dartmouth- exciting... actually it hasn't really set in yet- I keep thinking that my xmas break is going to be ruined by filling out 15 apps--

lets see about me... well people always ask if I will really like it at Dartmouth, but I love rural environments (come on I live in MT) and I love the winter, especially since my favorite activity is skiing-

other things I do... I debate, play soccer and tennis, sail, fire fight, and I won't post all my nerdy ECs - I am not sure which activities I want to partake in at dartmouth- definitely the outing club, and I am trying to decide between sailing and debate and I want to be a ski patrol too... so many decisions- atleast I dont have to make the decision on what school I have to apply to anymore- such a relief

anyway- i would really like to get to know people I am going to school with next year- you should IM me on my AIM screen name from 6th grade (vgurl227), add me on myspace (www.myspace.com/vanessav27), or email me at vanessav27@hotmail.com -- I dont really know how to use livejournal... so that would be best...

[music |Summer Skin - Death Cab for Cutie]

Hey guys! My name is Jen and I'm still a little shocked that I was accepted but very excited nonetheless. I live right outside of North Conway, NH (two hours northwest of Hanover). My town has a population of about 2,000 so I think people who say Dartmouth is in "the middle of nowhere" are crazy.

I love doing pretty anything that will make for a good story for the grandchildren later in life. I'm obsessed with music; my iPod is basically one of my best friends. I'm really looking forward to the Outing Club because in my book, it doesn't get much better than hiking and skiing. I don't really know what I want to study, but I've been leaning towards government. I'd love to study philosophy, but my parents aren't really down with that and since they're paying, I guess what they say goes.

I'm dying to meet all of you, but I'm really more of an AIM or Myspace kind of gal. My username for both is JMDouin if anyone would like to add me :)

hey guys [Dec. 10th, 2005|01:35 pm]
Dartmouth Class of 2010

iamthetallpaul
You guys have all introduced yourselves so I better too

I'm Paul, from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. I play lacrosse (defense), golf, and love to bowl. Does anyone know if there's a bowling alley in/around Hanover? Google couldn't find one, which is REALLY disappointing. Um, I'm also really really opinionated and absolutely love to argue just for the sake of arguing, I'll play devil's advocate about anything.

I applied to Dartmouth because we drove through this summer and I loved it so much I had to go back for an overnight in October. And I'm really excited to be in/going.

Oh, and I'm 6'8", hence "tall paul".

[Edit] Oh and if anyone who knows a thing or two about web design/colors that look good together wants to do they layout for this just let me know and I'll make you a mod

New 2010 here!

I live in Pittsburgh (land of 100 partially sunny days a year), PA, and go to a public high school. I figure skate (and will be skating for Dartmouth), play flute in the orchestra, and am hardcore MUN. I'm really opinionated (most opinionated senior superlative out of a class of 500), so you might not want to get me started on much of anything. I volunteer at a hospital, and I'll probably do pre-med, though there's no way I'm going to be a bio or chem major (I'm between doing in interdiscipinary science and taking French and Arabic classes or doing French or poli sci and cramming in the premed courses).

Non-school wise, I love Alias, Lost, and Veronica Mars, snowboard (very, very badly), and read A Tree Grow in Brooklyn at least once a year. Oh, and my parents gave my a unique/crazy name so I'll let you guys just guess/use your imagination.
